Welcome to the Author Showcase, a project founded by Natzke on Trackmania Nations Exchange. We already made a lot of Interviews, with famous users like Ron Turbo, Panis and GanjaRider, but also normal TMX users like Quat or SeaDevil! We have gotten a lot of positive reactions to it. 1. Please tell us more about yourself (birthday, real name, place of birth, height, weight, favorite color) and your background?

My actual name is Lars and I was born on Valentines Day 1993 in Germany. I'm neither small nor tall - In fact something around 180cm. I currently live in fairly small village close to the Dutch border in the west of Germany.

2. How did you get your nickname?

Well, I never had a real name - The nick I first used here was "Lars2008" or something like this. Since "Lars2008" is sparsely catchy I eventually started to grope around for a new nick. Like 1 1/2 I ended up using nameless, due to a lack of creativity power.

3. What made you become a track builder and who made the biggest influence at your beginning?

The person who made me become a tracer prolly was GreenRacer.
In the end of 2007 I used to race on the "GigaLigaServer", which was riddled with a bunch of GreenRacers tracks.
Furthermore he probably also was my biggest influence in the beginning of my tracker-career . Later on dipl0 turned into my biggest influence.

4. Can you please guide us through a typical track project from start to finish and what part of track building do you find crucial?

I actually never open the editor with a particular vision. Basically i just start with a new track - I always try to pay special attention to the start section, since I consider this section as the most important one. Then i simply add some transitions and focus on a good flow and some cool idea.
-> Its pretty much like learning by doing.

5. Where do you find inspiration for tracks?

My biggest inspiration is good and well-build tracks. In particular dipl0's tracks - He always has fabulous ideas and makes me want to use them as well.

6. Can you tell us what great track builders need to posses besides versatile capability in track building?

Loads of ambition plus loads of ambition. If u claims to be a great track builder you simply need to start over again, until you reach a good tracking-level. Thus for me personally being ambitions is the only way.

7. What is your general opinion of TM game, what is so addictive?

I hardly can explain why Trackmania is that addictive. It’s offers uncountable way of entertainment. Racing, track-making, Mediatracker-work. It’s simply never gets boring. There are always things remains to be discovered.

8. What makes TMX so special place in your opinion and did TMX made influence at your life in any way?

The TMX-magic-formula probably are it's members. There are so many different peeps with different skills and different interests.
TMX doesn’t / didn't influence my life. I've always been trying to keep my virtual-life non-dominating.

9. Can you share an entertaining story from TMX with us?

Not really. There were some sort of funny misunderstood, but they are only funny if you were involved.

10. Could you share your virtues and flaws with us?

Well, I am a person with a lot ambition. I always keep on trying to get better. Furthermore I’m extremely chill axed - its kinda hard to ruffle me. My probably biggest flaw is, that I tend to offend people.

11. What is your daily routine and your favorite daily activity?

I usually get up at approximately 6 am. Leave the house at 6:35 Am and drive to school. I get back from school between 3.30 Pm and 4.30 - Then I try to have some fun. Somewhere in between i also need time for homework and other duties.

12. Who made the biggest impact in your real life on you and why?

I guess my friends and still is my biggest influence. They made me become what I am today.

13. Tell us about a memorable moment in your life; a time you will never forget?

I can't tell.
I'm only sixteen and haven't been into that many noteworthy moments.
Sorry for that.

14. What is the achievement you have made that you are most proud of in real life?

I better keep my mouth shut. The moderators would expurgate my statement anyway. [mod’s even ban our filthy thoughts xD - Natzke]

15. What are the goals you are still working towards?

I plan on doing a Ph.D. and winning a Nobel Price. [lol new Dr. House xD - Natzke]

16. What’s your idea of a perfect vacation?

Just spending some time with friends and chilling out. A beach and some beer wouldn't be bad either.

17. Any phobias/addiction or both you’re willing to admit and could you tell your favorite food and drink?

For me, life in general is very addictive. I love to take a shot at new things. I have a fairly high "data throughput" - If you know what i mean. My favorite food is kebat and my favorite drink beer - Simple but time-proven.

I don' have a personal track-top3. there are way too many good tracks. It would be unfair to make up a list.

19. What advice would you give to someone who just starting out with track building and where we can find you online?

If you are new and unknown just build a shitty track and send pm’s with the track link to as many people as possible. You shall see, within one week your tracks will have 50 awards.
If i race online I mostly race on my teams server for example:"NXT Minis"

20. Is there someone that you want to apologize?
