TrackMania RPG Blog are here with a brand new RPG Contest, sponsored by HawkGer.
The 23rd of December will mark the 1 year anniversary. This was the day, Kryw submitted his excellent temple track.
How will the contest work?
Being an RPG competition, this contest will only accept tracks that qualify as RPG. A definition of an RPG track can be found on the RPG Blog.
The competition asks you to make at least 5 alternative routes. The routes will be on one side, hard to drive but faster, and on the other side, easy but longer. So it's up to your driving skills to decide if you go for a fast time or not. "To clear things up: no, you don't need 5 alternative routes which goes
from from start to finish. You need to have at least 5 CP's or tricks
where two or more ways lead to the same CP/place again."
Are there, besides the Alternative routes, more restrictions?
Of course, the RPG Blog wouldn't send you into the field without some instructions and rules.
You will have to start a track with a track they created for you. You could call it the base. They made this base to prefend people from uploading an already created RPG track. Clever!
The track contains certain blockmixes, so they they can validate in ChallengeEdit that you used their track (since these mixed blocks will appear on top in CE). You will have to download it here, before you start.
They also made the following rules:
Rules:
- You have to have an auto-downloadable mod.
- You need a minimum of 5 alternative routes
- The track has to be minimum 5 minutes long
- You have to use our track base.
- Submit the track before 24th December
- All CP's must be respawnable (you can still have rings of course)
- Do not lock your track with a password
- No
blockmixing of CP's into eachother. Many servers will ban you if you
drive through two CP's at the time, so don't do this! It might look
very beautiful, but it will lead to this
- Don't submit beta's or unfinished tracks!
Anything more?
The prizes of course! Why would you compete, besides fun, for this competition?
The prizes are:
- A brand new TMUF account
- 15 000 coppers
- 10 000 coppers
Enough to build for, I might say!
Now, be sure to check out the original post on the RPG Blog for more info, tips and downloads!
